He is currently on the boards of several technology companies, lectures on innovation management, start-ups and financing at the Santa Clara University in the United States as well as Hochschule Aalen in Germany. He was previously the Managing Director and main shareholder at IAB GmbH, a German analysis and test engineering company in Ottobrunn and has been a council member or director of several industry associations such as BDL, ZVEO, BDI and BITCOM. Thomas started his career in aerospace at Dornier and Boeing, then continued at Roland Berger working as a strategy and turn-around consultant with a focus on high-tech industries such as automotive, aerospace, electronics, ITC and machinery. Thomas holds Master degrees in aerospace engineering and international business and attended the MIT Sloan School of Management and has an advanced degree in innovation, leadership and technology.
