Activities

The foundation works across three core areas: Dialogue (facilitating independent forums for strategic dialogue); Action (supporting our leaders to implement commitments serving the UN Sustainable Development Goals); and Elevation (elevating Karman Community voices to key regional and international stakeholders). The Karman Fellowship is our flagship activity, but the foundation participates in multiple international forums.

02

Community

In an effort to create a wholly independent forum for strategic discussion about the future of space, the Karman Project gathers members as passionate individuals and operates under the Chatham House Rule. Karman Fellows interact with a diverse, global and multidisciplinary network of decision-makers to amplify their impact.

03

Story

Founded by an international group of space professionals in Berlin, Germany in 2019, the Karman Project was born of a desire to bolster independent, courageous and cooperative dialogue in space, building trust between those who are shaping the future of the sector.

Space is an inherently international endeavour, and one that requires the commitment and cooperation of people at an individual, as well as an organisational, level.
